Windows comes with a number of useful tools that will save you time.
The Snipping Tool provides a quick and easy way to take selected screenshots. Then you can personalise the screenshot and paste it, save it or send it via email. This is a useful trick if, for example, you need to inform the help desk about an error message that has appeared, or a problem with your computer.
This task will give you a flavour of how IT tools might help in managing your research. You can try this task on your own, although it was designed to be done in a classroom with a teacher to support you.
For this task, you will need Windows (version 8 or later) software and something similar to Word and Excel installed on your computer. Talk to your IT support person about this.
